In 2013, Greendale turns 75 years old – a noteworthy event, to be sure.

The Greendale 75th Anniversary Committee is teeing up the party with a 75th Celebration Kick-off Event on Sunday May 1, 2011.

Activities will include the presentation of the “Preserve America” award to Greendale.

Greendale Police & Fire vehicles will be on display. There will also be a Classic & Custom Car Show. All car buffs are invited to show off their wheels.

Winners of the Greendale School’s Art & Essay Contest, “What Greendale Means to Me” will be announced and receive their prizes.

All this and more can be found in and around the Greendale Gazebo on Broad Street. Listen for the music and watch for the fun.

The Kick-off starts at 1:00 p.m. and will run until 3:00 p.m.
