2011 Recycling Calendar
The 2011 Recycling Calendar and other recycling information is now available. The calendar is also available at the DPW offices, Greendale Village Hall, The Greendale Public Library and at the Greendale Safety Center. Click here to download (pdf)
Glass
  • Recycle clear, green, brown and tinted glass.
  • Please rinse out and remove lids and caps.
  • It is not necessary to remove paper labels.
Acceptable Glass Items:
Any Color Glass Bottles, Jugs or Jars, Glass Beverage & Glass Food Containers

Plastics
  • Make sure container is labeled 1 or 2 on the bottom.
  • Please rinse and remove lids and caps.
  • It is not necessary to remove paper labels.
Acceptable Plastic Items:
Soda Bottles, Milk & Water Jugs, Laundry Bottles, Shampoo, Conditioner, Lotion & Cosmetic Bottles, Windshield Washer Fluid Containers

Cans
  • Please rinse all cans.
  • It is not necessary to remove paper labels.
Acceptable Cans:
All Aluminum Cans, All Steel or Bi-Metal Cans, Metal Lids & Bottle Caps

Paper Products
  • Corrugated boxes should be flattened and cut to a 2' x 2' size. Bundle them with twine or tape into a stack no higher than 10 inches.
  • Put paper products into brown paper bags and place on top of your recycling container.
  • Please remove plastic food liners from boxes.
Acceptable Paper Products:
Newspapers & Inserts, Corrugated Cardboard, Magazines & Books, Paper Grocery Bags, Junk Mail & Envelopes, Non-Corrugated Cardboard (cereal boxes, soda pack boxes), Office Paper (any color)
