Lead
Poisoning Prevention Program
Greendale Health Department monitors lead reports of
resident children to assess their risk of lead poisoning.
If a child has an elevated level (greater than or equal to
10 mg/dL), the family is contacted and offered free lead
screening for siblings. Public health nurses can assist
families to evaluate the environment to determine possible
sources of lead and direct them to companies that do
abatement work.
