A Heating Permit is required for the items listed below. This list is not inclusive, but does cover the more common items that require permits. If you have questions as to whether or not your project needs a permit, please contact the Department of Inspection Services at (414) 423-2100.

  • New buildings, additions & alterations
  • Furnaces/boilers, new or replacements (Also requires an Electrical Permit)
  • Air-Conditioners, new or replacements (Also requires an Electrical Permit)
  • New ductwork or boiler circulating piping
