Celebration

A Halloween parade on Sunday, October 31 kicks off this year’s events. Again this year there will be a costume pet parade in addition to the children’s parade. Parents and pet owners should have their children and pets assemble at Brinkman Field (east side of the High School) at 11:30 a.m. Thee parade will begin at noon and go down Broad Street, ending at the Reiman Visitor’s Center where treat bags will be handed out to all costumed children. This event is sponsored by the Greendale Lions Club, The Greendale Public Celebrations Committee and Caesar’s Pet.
Trick-or-Treat hours are set for 1 to 4 pm. The Police Department will again concentrate on residential patrols to make sure children are safe.
Halloween Walk in the Woods
The Greendale Historical Society will host a “Halloween Walk Through the Woods” on Saturday, October 23. Participants will join a “haunted” walking tour of Greendale’s Canterbury Woods. The event runs from 4 to 7 p.m. A bag of Halloween goodies will be available to the first 144 children. For more information, please click here.
