Precautionary Boil/Bottle Water Advisory Lifted

Second set of samples confirm lab results reported as negative for total coliform
Water is confirmed safe for consumption
The Village of Greendale received additional lab results on Tuesday morning, which confirmed a negative result for total coliform. The precautionary boil/bottled water advisory issued on Sunday has been lifted and residents can resume normal use and consumption of Village water.
“We’d like to thank Greendale residents and the entire community for their patience as we worked to ensure the safety of our drinking water supply,” said Village Manager Todd Michaels. “The health and safety of our residents is our primary concern, and we are pleased that the testing process went smoothly and efficiently and we were able to lift the precautionary advisory in a timely manner.”
On Sunday, the Village of Greendale issued a precautionary boil / bottled water advisory after routine water supply testing by the Village of Greendale Water Utility detected the presence of coliform bacteria in the Village’s drinking water supply.
Additional sample testing was conducted and initial lab results received on Monday morning were reported as negative for total coliform. Per DNR protocol, testing continued on Monday and the final lab results were reported to the Village on Tuesday morning.
