You can make a difference by becoming a volunteer
member of a Village advisory committee, board or
commission. These bodies provide advice to the
Village Board and contribute to the development of
policies, programs and initiatives. The Village can
benefit greatly from your expertise, enthusiasm and
civic pride. Get involved and play an active role.
Which advisory committees, boards or commission have volunteer members?
All residents who are eligible to vote in the Village of Greendale.
What are the responsibilities as a committee or board member?
Terms vary from one to five years depending on the committee, board or commission. Meetings are generally held once a month, mostly in the evening; however members may be required to attend additional special meetings.
How to apply?
Submit a letter outlining how the committee(s), board(s) or commission(s) would benefit from your membership, and how your work, education, hobby and/or volunteer experience are relevant to its mandate. Please remember to include your home address.

Public Invited to Attend 2009 Budget Work Sessions

In October the Village Board of Trustees will be
conducting Committee of the Whole Budget Work
Sessions to review the Village’s 2009 Budget. The
sessions will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the Board Room
of Village Hall on:
Monday - October 13
Thursday - October 16
Monday - October 20
Monday - October 27 (only if necessary)
The public is encouraged to attend these meetings to provide input to the Board as the Village faces another difficult budget year. This input will help the Board evaluate and balance the need for maintaining Village services against increasing taxes and fees. Copies of the Village Manager’s 2009 Recommended Budget will be available for public viewing in Village Hall and the Library during normal business hours after October 8.
