Children's PenPal Program
'Mailbox' located in the library Youth Department
Would your child like to receive a note from one of the GPL staff? Would you like to help your child strengthen his/her printing or handwriting skills in a fun, practical way? If so, then the Library Pen Pals is the perfect program for your child. Here’s how it works: Send us a note in the mail, book drop, or drop it off at the library. Some suggestions include the title of a favorite book, food, toy, or activity. Be sure to include your child’s first and last name (printed neatly), age, and return address. If your child doesn’t have legible writing skills, adults are welcome to help. We will send your child a note back. Our first correspondence to our Pen Pals will also include a coloring page, stickers, and a bookmark.
