Food And Nutrition Group (FANG)

Food and Nutrition Group (FANG) was formed to act on the Greendale Community Health Improvement Plan's nutritional priority of increasing consumption of fruits and vegetables among Greendale Residents.

FANG is working on great programs to promote healthy eating.

Community Garden Expansion


The Community Garden located at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church
has additional plots available for 2018.


March 1st is the first day to sign up for the

community garden plots.

Applications will be available at 9:00 am on 3/1/2018 at  

St. Thomas of Canterbury Church       7255 W. Grange Ave, Greendale 

Tuesday – Thursday, 9:00 am to 3:00 PM 



Applications will be available at 8:00 am on 3/1/2018 at 

Greendale Health Department      5650 Parking Street, Greendale 

Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 PM 


           $10.00 donation per plot for the season.  There are a limited number of plots.                     

The Community Garden at St. Thomas of Canterbury (STOC)

Master Gardener led gardening seminars will be hosted at STOC throughout the growing season. Seminars are open to community garden members and all Greendale residents. Check back here or on the Health Department Facebook page.

This was the beginning. The garden members and community residents attended the first in a series of gardening seminars led by Greendale Master Gardeners at STOC on May 6th.


Then the community planted.

And then the gardens grew and grew.


This is what the gardens look like now, and probably even bigger!
