Construction Update for August 11
August 11, 2010
Here is the latest update for all of the 2010 Paving
Projects within the Village.
College Avenue: The stormwater retention ponds are complete with topsoil and grass seed now being installed around the perimeter. Sod work is complete on the west portion with road base work continuing on the east portion. Look for the west phase curb to be installed very soon with a base course of asphalt to follow directly after.
S.51st Street: The road elevation and base work is nearly complete with just a short stretch needing to be finished near Loomis Rd. Additional road bed material will be installed soon with curb to follow.
Loomis Road: Work continues in the inner lanes. Several areas are now receiving a base layer of asphalt. Reshaping of the intersection at College Ave. is nearing completion and the crews will be moving to the intersection of Ramsey Ave. and then Grange Ave. Traffic restrictions are numerous and delays are to be expected especially when work is being done in intersections. The State of Wisconsin DOT urges motorists to be very cautious in work zones and use alternate routes when possible.
2010 Greendale Paving Projects: All portions of the 2010 Project are now complete.
