Construction Update for November 3
November 03, 2010
Loomis Road: The Wisconsin
Department of Transportation Loomis Rd. Project is
nearing completion at least for this seaon.
Contractors are working overtime and on Saturdays in
an attempt to complete as much work as possible
before the winter weather sets in. There are several
days worth of concrete curb, sidewalk and median work
to be completed before the final asphalt overlay and
pavement marking work can be done. The traffic
signals and intersection lighting work can be
accomplished in any kind of weather so the main focus
will be on opening all lanes to traffic. It is quite
likely that much of the landscaping work will need to
be held off until the spring of 2011. Driving
conditions should improve greatly over the next two
weeks as November 15th is the target date for
completion. Please continue to be extra cautious and
patient in work zones.
All other road construction projects in the Village are now complete.
