Whereas, Mary Burke represents the best qualities of a volunteer;

Whereas, Mary has shown a dedication to the library through her consistent loyalty and faithful attendance;

Whereas, Mary has processed thousands of library materials in the workroom from the opening of the boxes to the cataloger’s shelf;

Whereas, Mary has shelved thousands of library materials so they are available for our residents;

Whereas, Mary has helped train many of her fellow volunteers acting as coach, mentor, companion and friend;

Whereas, Mary’s commitment to the Library remains endless.

Now, Therefore, Be it Hereby Resolved that the staff of the Greendale Public Library express our deepest appreciation to Mary Burke for her years of service to the Greendale Public Library;

Furthermore, Be It Hereby Resolved that Mary Burke be recognized as the second recipient of The Footnote Award in recognition of her work as a volunteer at the Greendale Public Library.
