Village Board Meeting in Review
The Village Board considered a number of items at their previous meeting. They referred a request from the Fire Chief to consider alternatives for the Greendale Fire Station to the Committee of the Whole for their review. In the near future, the Committee will refer a recommendation back to the Board of Trustees. The Board approved the purchase of two new Police Department squad cars, new financial software, a medium duty dump/plow/salt truck, and an application for a grant to acquire two flood prone properties in the Root River Drive area. Proclamations were affirmed for the recipients of the 2011 Greendale Chamber of Commerce recognition awards. The Village Board met in closed session to discuss contract negotiations with the Village’s represented employees, the economic development efforts in the Southridge Mall area, and the planned multi-million dollar redevelopment of Southridge Mall.
