Recycling Center Construction

Please take note that beginning on May 22, 2023 there will be some construction under way at the Recycling Center.  The 2023 Budget included a project at the Recycling Yard to add curb & gutter on the site and install permeable pavement on the north end of the yard.  This project will help improve drainage at the site to prevent runoff from the site from draining into the stormwater system.  A majority of this project is paid for by grant funds provided by the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District as part of their green infrastructure program.

Beginning April 26th there will be some changes to the drop-off location for some items as they prepare for construction.  Construction will take place on the west portion of the recycling center.  All services provided will still be available, but might be in a new temporary location.  The current yard waste pile, e-waste and television drop off locations have been temporarily relocated.  

Please be patient and expect a longer wait due to the construction.  The anticipated completion date for this project is the end of June.  Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time, and please reach out to the Department of Public Works with any questions or concerns.
